Tangled Roots Brewing Company

This new building is the sixth location for the Tangled Roots Brewing Company. It is located on historic Washington Square in Washington, Illinois, where it contributes to completing a portion of the Square lost to a tornado several years ago. The architecture is intended to fit the material and scale qualities of the Square while simultaneously introducing a fresh new aesthetic. The second floor of the building features a service bar and open air roof terrace overlooking the Square, flex space for private dining with access to the roof terrace, and short term rental apartments. For this project, the Architect of Record is Lohan Architecture, while Nevin Hedlund Architects served as Associate Architect.
